My work is a visual celebration of the privilege to have the time, space, and freedom to make art; to explore, to play, and to indulge.

I find the process of wheel-throwing to be sensual, meditative, and therapeutic.  When I am focused on throwing a form on the wheel, I am at my most present and peaceful.  It is, for me, a magically seductive method of creating symmetrical, rhythmic, and evocative forms.

The surface of each wheel-thrown form is equally important to me as the form itself.   The patterns and colors on the surface of my work reflect endless sources of inspiration - Islamic art, stained glass, Indian textiles, Mexican folk art...

The surface of my pots echo the wild meanderings of my own imagination and the visual richness of the modern world in which I live.

Clay is the perfect medium for me to funnel my thoughts and ideas into.  Each piece ends up being a tangible, three-dimensional  record of the time, place, and state of mind in which it was created.
